Types of Headaches
Although you may suffer from only one type of headache, there
are several types. One doctor reports that there are about a dozen
major types, and more than 60 subtypes.
The majority of headaches can be classified as either migraine or
tension headaches, which most people get from time to time, and to a
lesser extent, cluster headaches.2
Each of these types has their own characteristics or they may
have certain characteristics in common. For more information, please click on the link below.

Headaches & Migraines
Headaches, however, if painful and frequent, can drive anyone
out of their mind. While some manage to get away with a headache
that goes away after a few hours, some aren’t as lucky. Their
headaches could be a migraine headache and it could last for days, in
a few cases, a week or two.
Susan S. Lang, co-author of the book Headache Help talked
about her growing up years with her father who had frequent
migraines that struck with intense pain. She remembered that every
time her father would have migraines, her mother shuttled them off to
their own rooms and told them not to romp around and make any
noise. All of the windows and curtains would be drawn and the whole
house would be cloaked in darkness – for days. To Susan Lang and
her sisters and brothers, it was like being thrown into a different world
– dark, foreboding, and uncertain.
